Miami Gardens, FL — The Indianapolis Colts weren’t the only ones with a winning team at Super Bowl XLI. Derrick McCray "Chef D Mac," owner of McCray’s II Backyard BBQ sent his best team to cater the 2007 NFL Tailgate Party. The day began at 4 a.m. at the barbecue restaurant in Mangonia Park, FL where the McCray’s II Backyard BBQ strategic plan was reviewed. After a group prayer, hugs and high fives among the employees, team McCray headed to Dolphin Stadium.

McCray’s II Backyard BBQ was a big attraction at the NFL Tailgate Party. Thousands of NFL guests from around the world stood in line to get McCray’s II Backyard BBQ baby back ribs with its signature "twist" sauce and beef brisket. Famous guests such as NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, Omarosa Magnigault-Stallworth, Justin Timberlake, pro golfer Michelle McGann, WNBA player Lisa Leslie, Jessie Palmer from ABC’s "The Bachelor," and Milinda Wiliams who plays "Bird" on tv series "Soul Food" on BET, were just some of the thousands who enjoyed samples of the tender ribs and beef brisket.

With an awesome game plan, McCray’s II Backyard BBQ had the most visitors out of all the vendors at the NFL Tailgate Party. Long after other vendors ran out of food, team McCray’s served ribs until the tailgate party ended and continued serving ribs well after the 6:25 p.m. kick-off to the hundreds of Super Bowl Host Committee volunteers and Dolphins Stadium employees. "I’m grateful for the tremendous blessings of Jesus Christ, said McCray. I want to thank my staff for being on point and doing so well, as well as all the love and support from the community," added McCray.

McCray’s II Backyard BBQ was voted the number one vendor of the NFL Tailgate Party by the Super Bowl Host Committee. Gary Hartfield, Director of Community Outreach for the Super Bowl Host Committee said, "The ribs are fantastic and I will do my best to have McCray’s II Backyard BBQ at every Super Bowl. "
